Update #4 | Our house in Greece
Good morning! Yes, you see that well: there is already an update ready for our Greek house! Read further to figure out what 🙂
As most of you have read, we signed for our Greek house last Monday. In this blog, I also told you that we are we need to do some big changes first. For example, the wood on the balcony needs to be replaced and that the whole house will be painted. We hoped that this could be done as soon as possible. We hoped that the wood was replaced already before our arrival so that we can choose the right paint the first few days of our vacation, so the painters could start. Yet we did not think that it would go this fast! Last Saturday we already received photos of the wood which is already practically finished. Fantastic! In the photos it looks very promising in any case 🙂 We are very curious how things will look like when we get there
The pictures below are from Spanos Fotis, who did this work for us.
Now that the wood is finished before we got there, we can now focus on painting the house. We will not do this ourselves, because we know people on the island who can do this super nice. When we arrive we will go to the capital as soon as possible, so that we can buy the right paint color and then, of course, we hope that the painter will have time to visit in the short term 🙂 The color of the house will be purple and then a little pastel, because it has to fit well with the other houses. We have a good picture of the color that Vincent and I want for our house but we need to see what is possible at the paint store. I have the idea that this will be different than in the Netherlands 😉
Stay up to date!
